In the winter a lot of viruses, soar throats, and colds go around my school, even at my home. Once when I was sick with a fever there was no one home except my grand mom Mary. I never knew my grandma could cook, nor that she knew anything about healing. When I told her about my fever she started off by giving me oatmeal. It worked for a little bit, but did not help me much. So instead she gave me some Motrin and told me to take short nap.
When other members of my family get sick my grandma Mary also gives us some of her home made lemon tea. If that does not work she fixes us some of her favorite chicken noodle mint soup. She goes to the store and buys some Campbells chicken noodle soup. After that she takes the mint leaves off the tree and grinds them into a powder. She takes the mixed substance and mixes it with the other ingredients. Then she puts them into a soup pot of boiling water. When it is all ready and done, we get to eat!
This soothes your throat and keeps your breathing minty fresh at the same time. This family recipe has been in my family since my grandma Mary was a little girl. So whenever we get sick we go straight to our grandma Mary to be consoled, and to get some her healing chicken noodle mint soup!

Everyone gets to an age in their life where they may get stomach viruses, headaches, sore throats, etc. and they may need that special healing to make it better. As everyone knows the top three ingredients for healing are love, soup, and a grandparent. Although as you get older your grandparent and/or parent may pass away, then you will have to do things on your own. Thats where the soup comes in!
I have experienced many types of stomachaches - such as cramps and viruses. Every time this happens, my mom or dad will make me some Chicken Noodle Soup. This usually makes me feel better. When I eat the soup my body just gets all warm inside and soon helps me to feel better right away.
The great chicken and vegetable taste not only makes me feel good, but it shows that someone is and will always be there for me. To make Chicken Noodle Soup you must first find all the ingredients. This includes two cans of chicken broth, one and a half cup of sliced carrots, one cup of sliced celery, one cup of chopped onion, one fourth teaspoon ground black pepper, one pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut in bite-size cubes, three and a half cups of Golden Grain-Mission Medium Egg Noodles, and two tablespoons chopped parsley. (This ingredient is optional.)
Next, you must get a large soup pot; combine the chicken broth, carrots, celery, onion and pepper. Cover and bring to boil; boil for five minutes. Ad the chicken and return to a boil. Next, stir in the noodles. Cover and boil for ten to twelve minutes or until vegetables are tender and chicken is cooked through, stirring occasionally. Stir in the parsley, if desired.
Finally, when you are done you can enjoy this wonderful soup and become better physically, mentally, and spiritually. During the act of eating this you may experience the warmth cooling of the soup in your soul. This is a family tradition for all those who may come across an injury and or illness.

It's really weird that my mom can predict when I'm going to get sick. When I'm sick with a cold, my mother fixes me a bowl of chicken noodle soup. She then takes it out of the can and puts it into a pot so she can heat it for me. She always makes me eat all the chicken and drink all the broth. Once I finish all of my soup my mom gives me, she will give a glass of ginger ale to settle my stomach.
If I fell sick during school my mom would come and pick me up leaving her job to come and get me. After giving me chicken noodle soup she will take my dog for a walk so I can relax. Then I begin to feel better.

When I am sick my mother makes me two pieces of toast, some green tea, and chicken with rice soup. This is a healing remedy that has been used for all of our family, but I started it.
Ever since I can remember my mom would always stay home with me and care for me. She would let me rest during the day and watch TV and help me do my homework during the night. I would eat this healing recipe throughout the day and I believe that this was the reason why I have never been sick for longer than four days. I am very grateful for my mothers love and this remedy that was thought of by me.
The healing remedy that my family uses when somebody is in the hospital is we do a lot of praying for that person. We try to see that person everyday and make them feel special. My grandmother has been in and out of the hospital a lot and we do this every day to make her feel better.
Until this day this healing remedy has worked. If someone in my family is feeling sick we make sure that they are as comfortable as they can be. I really enjoy what my family does for me while I am sick. I appreciate my loving family. My family and I really take care of our loved ones and make sure that they are doing good.

When my god mom, Michelle, was alive my mom would always send me to her house when I was sick. It was cool because she was my best friend, and I always called her mom-mom. By the time my mom picked me up she would have made me better again. You see she would give me chicken noodle soup. She used to go in the kitchen and get the cookbook out, and start to cook.
When I ate the soup I felt warm inside and in a couple of minutes I would be back to my normal self. Just the taste of the noodles made me want some more. It was so good. When I got strep throat my god mom went to my house even though she had a work meeting. When she gave me the soup she turned my Destiny's Child Cds on and in a couple of minutes I was feeling better.
I don't how it works, but I know it was a miracle. My mom gave me a lot of soup before I went to my god moms house, but when I got to my god moms house she gave me the miracle soup. So when you get sick you should eat chicken noodle soup and I promise you that you'll feel better at the end of the day.

One day I got sick and my grandma did not know what to do. So she decided that she was going to make me something good to eat. My grandma made some soup and put all kinds of good things in it. She put in corn, string beans, peas, tomato paste, and chicken.
It made me feel so warm inside that I had two bowls and a cup of tea. After that I had took a bath I added all kinds of bath shells. The bath was really nice and after that I felt very good and I started to lie on my bed and I went to sleep. When I got up from my bed I said a nap was really what I needed.
I was not sick anymore, I went down stairs and my grandma asked me if I was all right. I told her that I was all right. I said, "thank you" and "I love you." She said, "Baby, I am so glad that you are not that sick because I would have to take you to the doctor to see what was wrong with you, to make sure you do not give it to anyone at school or in the family."

When I get sick my mom takes good care of and makes sure I get better. Also when I am hurt or dont fell good my mom gives me soup. One thing she makes sure of is that, I drink a lot of juice, get a lot of rest, and drink some tea!
Being sick is not a good feeling at all. You cant do anything because you are not 100%. If I dont get better she will take me to the doctor.
The only good things about getting sick is that I dont have to help out at home and I can watch TV all day. The type of tea my mom gives me is Sleep Time Tea, and she adds some honey. When I start to drink the tea it is hot so I have to blow on the tea so it will cool down. This way I can drink it.
When I am drinking the tea I can feel the tea going down into my stomach and it makes me feel warm inside! I feel great! Soon or later I always get better. No, matter what the sickness I my mom makes a soup for me. All the times my mom gives me soup it has never failed. Usually when I get sick its just a cold or the flu - nothing really bad.
But if it was something bad I think my moms soup and tea will make me feel better in a few days. If its really bad my mom will take me to a doctor. Sometimes my grandma has a good way of getting me back to full health. When I go to my grandma for help I always get better, no matter what.

My sickness recipe is chicken soup and tea with honey in it, and a big ice, cold glass of ginger ale. When I catch the flu my dad brings me a bowl of chicken soup with a bag of crackers. My dad makes the whole soup from scratch. It includes a whole chicken breast, carrots, noodles and peas.
Even though my brother and I fight all the time, when Im sick he waits on me head and foot. My brother brings me toast and tea with a hint of honey. My mom usually gets sick next, after me, but not as bad as me - she can still eat solid foods. But, back to me.
The ginger ale gives me a sensational taste of goodness. The tea my mom makes me has my medicine in it. The medicine makes me very sleepy and tired. And as I feel the tea run down my throat, I feel bunnies-and-sun-shine. But as soon as I wake up Im back on my feet and ready to continue my days of being tortured by my brother
wait a minute! Thats the reason I was sick in the first place.
Whatever the sickness I have, my mom and my dad and my little brother can make me feel better. Later that day I play with my brother and watch teen music videos and play Playstation 2. As the day goes on I get better and better until I fully recover. Thanks, mom, if you are reading this!

Swanson Chicken Noodle Soup helps me to feel better when I have a cold. It may take a little time to cook, but its worth the wait. It makes me feel loving inside. Sometimes it relaxes me and sometimes it doesnt. Then during the night in puts me in a good mood.

You can pick it up at any drug store in you neighborhood. So remember to get Thera Flu.

When Im sick with a cold or flu there are three things Im always given: chicken noodle soup, hot tea with honey, and orange juice. These things help nurse me back to health in no time at all. All three are nutritious and taste so incurably good.
Sometimes I cant believe that they are used for medicinal purposes. First, let us deal with the chicken noodle soup, which tastes good even though its from a can. Sometimes I can't believe it is medicine.
Hot broth, noodles, and bit size pieces of chicken, such simply great ingredient make up this medical phenomenon. You dont even need to chew, just blow and swallow. When you are heating it up, the aroma goes through the whole house. The smell dances in your nose like a ballerina dressed in a pink tutu. It soothes stomachache, no matter how bad how you feel.
Secondly, there is the hot tea with honey. It always tastes better in my favorite mug, which is a small tornado cup with a man holding on to a pole for dear life. When you are sick, even small things help. The steam from the tea opens up my nasal passages while the tea itself gets rid of my scratchy throat. The honey, hum-hum, the honey adds an unmistakable flavor of tangy yet sweet taste to boring tea.
Thirdly, there is the orange juice. It may not seem like orange juice fits in this list of remedies but it really does. The lovely citric taste lights up my mouth like firecrackers. It is also a great source of Vitamin C and Calcium. In no time I am back on my feet ready to resume my daily activities.
