Fondest Wreath
Each family has got their own tradition. My family has our tradition too. Each July from the 9th to 18th our family drives to the forest. After tasty dinner we jump through the fire. My brother Sergey is always the winner. But I am the fastest runner in my family. At that time when we jump and run, my mother plaits wreaths for the Daddy and me. It’s because we were born on the same date. Mom plaits my wreath from daisies, dandelions and bluebells as symbols of my beauty, my blue eyes, my golden hair. For the Daddy Mom plaits the wreath from such flowers as lilies of the valley, as the symbol of their love.
When Mummy puts wreaths onto our heads we think of a wish connected somehow with our family. After we have thought the wish we say some words, but which words - is a secret. We take our hands and enjoy our freedom till late night. On this night we sleep wearing our wreaths. We always sleep on the grass that night. On the next day when we come home and make the wreaths dry.
And now I have got as many wreaths as many years I am.

Let the Lesson of Love Never Be Over for Each of Us
The man whose story I’m writing about, got a bad luck to be born suffering a serious disease, schizophrenia. He spent half of his childhood at hospitals. He got to know well what people’s cruelty mocking him, was.
But Maxim got a good luck as well. His Mom and classmates pretended not to notice Maxim’s illness and it made a miracle. Maxim finished our specialized school with the profound curriculum of learning foreign languages. He graduated form the Institute, journalist faculty.
Now Maxim has a perfect command of English. He possesses a unique memory, so he has got encyclopedic knowledge in many spheres of life. He is super active in social activity.
But…nobody wants to employ him. Unfortunately our young independent Ukraine isn’t ready now to solve the issues of such people like Maxim.
And again Maxim’s good luck has found him. His school gave him a job of an assistant to help the teachers to organize extra classes activity. And we all are helping Maxim to train himself to possess the habits necessary to work.
I have known Maxim for 10 years. I’m strongly aware of his future. And I’m happy that together with my Granny, Maxim’s former teacher, we are preparing him for participating in international programs.
We are sure that it will give Maxim an opportunity to meet other people to help him in his future life.
We are passionately wishing this man to meet such people to make him happy in this life.
Could you imagine how beautiful the life of each man would be if each of us helped everybody who needs our help?

Life Should Be Full-Bodied
I’m against cloning people! Recently I have found news, which has shaken me. It’s about two cloning children. What do scientists of all the world think about such children’s future life? What will it look like in some years? Who will protect them from mass media’s curious attention and other experiments of such kind? Who will really love them?
I’d love to know how we could help such people. They will never be free! The scientists will deprive such children of their childhood, youth and even life in its full meaning. The birth of clones can be compared only with the tests of the first hydrogen bomb. During the tests of the first hydrogen bomb Kurchatov said “I have made a mistake! I have made a monster!” All the rest of his life he had been trying to prevent its production.
I wish each scientist use cloning for restoring people’s health first of all. I believe it would bring more use for the living generation.

Essay
Now, in the beginning of the twenty first century, we seem we already know a role of the man in a nature. The man can’t live without the nature, birds and the sun. Even without such simple things we can’t live, as bread and water, which is given to us by nature too.
It all depends on us. Today nature cannot exist by itself. People now are trying to correct their mistakes by studying rare animals, fishes and plants: dolphins, endangered animals etc….
Now man became surprisingly powerful and defenseless. We are Powerful because by one movement of the "red" button we can destroy the whole world. We are defenseless because we are not able to resist our own power.
From another point of view we cannot escape an earthquake, an eruption of volcanos, strong wind, rain or snow. All of the above force us to be hidden in our own houses and homes; All of these are elements we cannot resist.
Though for me it is not important. And what is important? It is to respect the Earth and to not admit utter annihilation all alive on it. Because when it happens, we the people will disappear too, and our basic task now is not admit it.

Sacred Candles
Our family has a tradition. Every New Year at five minutes to twelve p.m. we put a candle to each corner of our rooms. So there are four candles in each room. Each of them means an element. A blue candle means the element of water, a red one – the element of fire, a green one – the element of the Earth, a white candle means the element of air. There are four persons in our family, they are: my mother, father, my brother and me, so everybody has got his or her own element.
We light the candles and everybody stands near his or her candle and thinks of a wish. But wishes must be kind, not evil, without any envy to other person and must be used for good purposes. If any wish is bad, all the four elements with all their powers will come down upon the person and no wishes of the man will come true. After that you should blow out all the candles in a definite order. But I can’t say in which order, it is our family’s sacred secret.

Human Kindness
For all my still short life I have met many malicious, indifferent and severe people on my way. But at the same time kind, merciful people, ready to come to the aid in a difficult minute to all, surround me. And such remarkable person was near me for my all 10 years. She is my loved grandmother Valentine. She was not only a good person, but also a fine doctor who returned sight to people.
Once a young woman, called Lena came to see her. A big trouble came into this woman’s life. After heavy illness she began to lose her sight every day. She addressed many doctors for the help. Wherever she went nobody could cure her. She was rather young woman, with two small children. Lena couldn’t imagine that she would never see a pink sunset, a green herb, bright flowers and, the most awful thing, her growing up children by her own eyes. Only in a dream she would see color image dreams, and in life-darkness. My grandmother examined her very attentively. She had decided to do the utmost that Lena at last would be able to see. The treatment was lasting for almost a year. My grandmother made some operations on her eyes. Gradually the sight began to come back to the woman.
It is all due to kind, able fingers, and sensitive heart of my dear grandmother. And when the grandmother was ill fatally, Lena was near her up to her last day. It is wonderful that such remarkable people as my grandmother and Lena live on our planet.

A Noble Desire
I am proud of living in a friendly family. And my parents teach me to love all people. A lot of the lifestory, told by my mother, touched me deeply.
In a small village lives a boy Nikita. He is eleven. Nikita’s father was taken into the prison and his mother drank a lot making his life miserable. Nikita had to leave his home, which was hardly called home at that time. He came to a rich farmer and told him everything about his life. The man understood him and offered Nikita to work. The boy agreed.
Now Nikita lives with the farmer and earns money. The farmer is very kindhearted and responsive to Nikita. He doesn’t give the boy very hard job, only that one which Nikita can do.
Once the farmer suggested Nikita to go to school, but the boy said that he could read and write and he didn’t need anything more. He wanted just to earn money. It was interesting for the farmer to know what he needed money for. Nikita’s respond was: “I have a dream. I heard about the hospital for alcoholics. I want my mother to be healthy. I‘ll spend all my money to return her to life.”
Nikita and all the people who know him believe that his dream will come true. This boy wants to help not only his mother, but all people who need help, because he knows what mischief, solitude, hunger, hard labour really mean. His desire is noble.
