The Peace Diaries is a project of Knowledge iTrust, a non-profit organization. The Peace Diaries Web site provides tools to enable teachers and students from other countries to collaborate on projects together.

To participate in the Peace Diaries program, teachers register themselves, their classes and students to use password protected workspaces.

Information Collected on Peace Diaries Visitors

The Peace Diaries Web site gathers certain information such as the numbers and frequency of visitors to the Web site and its areas. The data collected helps us to determine how often visitors are coming to the site and what tools they are using. This will help us to improve the Peace Diaries Web site and assure that it is as useful for our visitors as possible.

From time to time, Knowledge iTrust may provide statistical site usage information to foundations that provide us with funding for the Peace Diaries and its projects. We do this to demonstrate that the Peace Diaries offers a useful service to the educational community.

We use this information to restrict the access of the Peace Diaries to teachers and students who are signed-up for the Peace Diaries program and from time to time to provide news and information on the Peace Diaries to the classrooms. We will not disclose this information to any outside companies. But as mentioned above, we may share aggregated statistical information about the use of the site with foundations.
